On arrival we did not receive welcome drinks or warm towels, and noticed other guests did. ONE of the concierges, was warm and helpful (forgot her name) the others were horrible. And Jamie at the pool bar was delightful and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. I really enjoyed the restaurants during dinner. I was very dissatisfied with our stay, I chose a dreams resort as my experience with the secrets resort has always been wonderful, but after this trip, I doubt I will ever return to any hotel under AMR/Hyatt. On top of all of this, 3 of our party of 6 became ill, due to something they ate. The staff were more worried about policing everyone, which made the ambience uncomfortable rather than enjoyable.

The resort was supposed to be family friendly, but there was nothing to do for our 13 and 16 year olds after 10pm, there was a sports bar for 18 and over, but they could not enter so we ended up having to go to our rooms early with our younger kids, which did not want to go to sleep at 10pm while on vacation. The night time activities were scheduled while everyone was at dinner, which had long waits (over an hour) unless you wanted to dine at the buffet every night. Honestly, this has been our worst experience in Cancun, there were very few staff that were friendly and tried to make our stay pleasurable.
